LOMSL Achievements:

“I met Brad when I was 21 and a rookie to the league. At the time Jim McMahon from the bears was advertising for Taco Bell with a sweatband and a sleeveless shirt. Just to be a smart ass, I dressed like him with my sunglasses, a sleeveless shirt and a head band that said Cline on it. We played against Brad and he thought that was the coolest thing. We shared that memory just a few weeks ago and as I type this it brings a smile to my face. Sometimes we were friends, sometimes we were rivals, but always we were brothers. RIP. “As a youngster playing in this league I absolutely hated facing brad ,, he would stand on the mound and taunt me, like the guy that sits in the dunk tank at the fair…he would always say come on Skinner you can’t hit me you ain’t got nothing..for years he did this , then one Thursday late game, he had a 3/2 count on me , and I hit a rising laser that drilled him in the chest.. From that day on, when I came up to the plate he would give me a little grin and say don’t hit me skinny..rip( bad brad)” – Darrin Lamphier

“I met Brad in 97 for the first time, me and Mizer were partying at the Wheel, not 10 minutes after meeting him, we were in his car having a treat and shooting the sh*t, I knew I liked him then….Fast forward to 98, I get a call from Vaccaro, saying, “I just pulled you from the hat”, I said, “Huh?…I have no idea what you’re talking about”….F**kin Brad puts me in there without telling me….lol…So glad he did, met a lot of good dudes and had a lot of fun, the few years I played…That will be my “forever” memory of “Bad Brad”…May he forever enjoy paradise!” – Jeff Freebury

“When I first started in the league, I already knew who brad was , from going up to Atwater to watch the men play.. My mom had told me to watch brad because he was a great hitter, I was impressed by the way he could hit the ball anywhere he wanted to..so when I went to practices I always tried to move the ball around to all fields..so to make a long story short,, besides my mom teaching me the art of hitting a softball,, I technically got my swing from watching brad…I will never forget what you told me brad,,(this game is easy just hit it where no one is standing) and I’m still trying to do that..thank you brad..” – Darrin Lamphier

“He told me how he played against Darren McCarty and since McCarty was pinching he decided to hit middle to see what he could do. Then he hit McCarty in the leg which made him of 0for the rest of the game. Lastly brad said he heard McCarty was on the radio and the host asked what happen??? Darren said some old guy hit him with a damn softball.” – Ryan Caddick
