Bylaw Proposal: Reverse Order Final Round
The final round of the draft (13th round) shall be conducted in reverse order of the initial draft order. Accordingly, the draft order for Round 13 will be: 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
The reverse draft order applies only if the draft has an odd number of rounds. If the draft has an even number of rounds, the draft order remains unchanged, and the team with the first overall pick will also have the final selection of the draft.
This structure ensures competitive balance by preventing the coach who selects first overall and has access to the top player in the league from also receiving the earliest selection in the final round.
